Bio:

My first influences in music came inadvertently from hearing music my mom would listen to. She had vinyl LP recordings ( 12-inch long-play records ) from artists such as Duane Eddy and Jobim, and the movie sound tracks from Exodus and South Pacific. She also had some of those old 78 rpm records with jazz and popular music. It was actually her idea that I would take guitar lessons at the age of nine, and for about 7 years received instruction from Sam Bass, then at Wynn's Music, in Tustin, CA.

A few years later came keyboard lessons with Jim Wynn, for 6 months or so... And then with different bands, picked up other instruments and influences along the way...Beatles, Stones, and most of the popular bands of the late sixties... Spirit, Hendrix, Cream...and more.

In 1995, 8 months of country-oriented pedal-steel guitar lessons with Blackie Taylor. The years have flown by, and many bands have come and gone. I was so fortunate to have music, to help keep me out of trouble...Thanks Mom

Some Influences:

Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Steve Winwood, Mitch Mitchell, Chick Corea, Wes Montgomery, and more recently; Radiohead, Robben Ford, Boz Scaggs, (still updating here) and a lot of my friends, of course...
